Pickle Meets His Match is suitable for 1+ players. It is suitable to play with children.
If you’re playing across multiple households, decide how you want to communicate. Phone? Zoom? Something else? You’ll each be looking at your own version of this website when you play, so make sure you tell everyone all the passwords and clues you find them so you can all move on together.
Grab the essentials
There’s nothing in this game that requires ultra-mind-bending spatial awareness, but a pen and paper will definitely make your life easier. And please play on a desktop or laptop - it won’t be possible to complete the game on a mobile as some of the clues will be off the page.
Spot the interactive boxes
Throughout the game, you’ll find windows that look like this, with the genial.ly logo in the bottom left corner.
These can be made full screen using the arrows in the bottom right corner (use escape or the arrows to exit). Genial.ly boxes contain some sort of interactive content, like draggable elements or a pen for drawing. Feel free to have a play with this one… but you might need to make it bigger.
If you get stuck… use a hint!
If you really don’t know how to progress, you will find some extra hints in the white section at bottom of some screens. Hints are numbered so aim to use them in the correct order to avoid unnecessary spoilers. Using fewer hints is better, but it is expected that most people will need to use a few! Hints look like this - try clicking them:

Entering passwords
Passwords should be entered in ALL CAPS (and numbers and spaces are allowed)
If you put in the wrong password, just press the ‘back’ button on your browser (do not close the window or you’ll have to start the game again!)
Win!
The game doesn’t have an in-built timer, but you are free to set your own timer to see how you do against the rankings at the end. The game starts when you press the “Let’s go!” button below and finishes when you re-enter your teamname. However, it’s expected that most people will play for fun rather than playing for time. And if you finish… you’re a winner!
